STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Stony Brook University announced the 2026 class of 40 Under Forty alumni honorees, a dynamic group of innovators, changemakers and rising leaders shaping the future of their fields and their communities. This year's honorees include Taylor Burner '13 and Sara Cerrone '08, MD '12.

Burner, the CEO and founder of Agency 3‑2, first made her mark as a member of the Stony Brook women's basketball team before playing professionally in Israel and earning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2013 Maccabiah Games. After her athletic career, she transitioned into marketing, founding her own agency in 2021. The agency works with Fortune 100 brands such as Nike and Foot Locker and represents top sports talent, including ESPN's Andraya Carter and Christine Williamson.

Cerrone, Chief of Gastroenterology at Northwell Health's Peconic Bay Medical Center, first distinguished herself as a member of the Seawolves' softball program before becoming a leader in digestive health care. She went on to establish Northwell Health's first division of gastroenterology at Peconic Bay Medical Center, found the Eastern Region Reflux and Heartburn Center, and serve as a member of the Katz Women's Center, helping expand access to specialized gastrointestinal care across the region.

These extraordinary Seawolves will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Current in New York City. Tickets for the celebration are $50 per person.
