STONY BROOK, N.Y. —The Stony Brook men's soccer team battled Saint Peter's to a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium, extending its unbeaten start to the 2026 campaign.
Ryan Farr opened the scoring for the Seawolves in the 23rd minute, while
Alex Fleury picked up the assist. Saint Peter's answered late in the second half to level the match.
With the result, the Seawolves moved to 1-0-5 and remained unbeaten through their first six matches for the first time since 2000, when Stony Brook opened the season 6-0.
Stony Brook controlled much of the early possession and generated four corner kicks over the opening 22 minutes. The pressure paid off at the 22:24 mark when Farr found the back of the net off a feed from Fleury, giving the Seawolves a 1-0 advantage.
The Seawolves carried the one-goal lead into halftime behind a strong defensive effort. Goalkeeper
Heidar Hermannsson made a pair of first-half saves, including stops in the 31st and 33rd minutes, to keep Saint Peter's off the board.
Stony Brook's attack increased its pressure after the break, recording seven of its eight total shots in the second half.

Olsen Aluc and Farr each generated attempts during the opening stages of the period as the Seawolves searched for an insurance goal.
Saint Peter's eventually found the equalizer in the 77th minute when Coval scored off an assist from De Elias to make it 1-1. Stony Brook continued to push forward following the tying goal, earning two late corner kicks and getting attempts from Fleury,
Elliot Burgueno and
Kyle Smith before the final whistle.
Hermannsson finished the afternoon with four saves while playing all 90 minutes in goal. Stony Brook totaled eight shots and held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks. Farr registered the Seawolves' lone shot on goal, which resulted in his goal, while Fleury recorded the assist.
