Seawolves Roll Past Army as Head Coach Ryan Anatol Earns 100th Career Win

WEST POINT, N.Y. — The Stony Brook men's soccer team continued its unbeaten start to the 2026 season with a commanding 4-1 victory over Army West Point on Tuesday night at Malek Stadium.

The victory marked a milestone for Head Coach Ryan Anatol, who earned his 100th career win, while Tobias Hansen recorded his first collegiate goal. Olsen Aluc found the back of the net twice, Sebastian Drummond added a goal and Nelson Reynoso tied his career high with two assists.
With the win, Stony Brook improved to 2-0-5 on the season and remained unbeaten through its first seven matches. The Seawolves finished the night with a 13-10 advantage in shots and put six attempts on frame.

Stony Brook controlled the opening half, creating several early opportunities before breaking through in the 34th minute. Reynoso set up Hansen, who found the back of the net at the 33:58 mark for his first collegiate goal and a 1-0 Seawolves advantage.

The Seawolves doubled their lead less than six minutes later. Aluc, who entered as a substitute in the 33rd minute, struck at 39:45 to send Stony Brook into halftime with a 2-0 advantage.

Stony Brook wasted little time adding to its lead after the break. In the 52nd minute, Nokkvi Hjorvarsson connected with Aluc, who buried his second goal of the night to extend the advantage to 3-0. The brace marked Aluc's first multi-goal performance of the season.

The Seawolves continued to apply pressure and added their fourth goal in the 75th minute. Drummond finished off a play created by Reynoso and Kyle Smith, with both earning assists on the tally. The helper gave Reynoso his second assist of the night, tying his career-high.

Army broke through in the 86th minute when Perversi scored off an assist from Minzey, but Stony Brook closed out the remaining minutes to secure the 4-1 road victory.

Goalkeeper Heidar Hermannsson played all 90 minutes in net for the Seawolves, making two saves. Stony Brook held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks and put six of its 13 shots on target.
