• The Stony Brook football team received the ball first to start the game and bolted into Fordham territory after a 32-yard connection that brought the ball to the 18-yard line. A few plays later on fourth down at the Fordham nine-yard line, Hester got a push on a three-yard run to give the Seawolves a first down. On the next play, Hester rushed in for the touchdown to give Stony Brook a 7-0 lead.
• Following the touchdown, the Stony Brook defense allowed a 54-yard touchdown on fourth-and-one that tied the game at 7-7 with 5:49 remaining in the first quarter.
• After a Stony Brook punt to the opposing 30-yard line with less than four minutes left in the opening frame, Bueno came up with a sack on second down that pushed Fordham back and ultimately forced a punt before the end of the quarter.
• Stony Brook was forced to punt again to start the second quarter after an opening three-and-out. Fordham got the ball at its own 34-yard line.
• Roberts and Byndon both came up with tackles for loss on the Rams' next drive following an opening 16-yard rush, forcing Fordham to punt to the Stony Brook 21-yard line with 12:16 left in the half. However, Stony Brook was also forced to punt after a three-and-out, with Linkins catching his first ball of the day for seven yards.
• Beginning the ensuing drive with 11:13 remaining in the half at their own 40-yard line, the Stony Brook defense went to work and forced a fumble by Byndon and Bueno that Love recovered at the Fordham 38-yard line.
• The Seawolves capitalized with an 18-yard rush by Hester and a 15-yard pass to Aphayvong that resulted in his first career touchdown and gave Stony Brook a 14-7 lead with less than 10 minutes to go in the half.
• Fordham responded with an eight-play, 75-yard drive that concluded with a 34-yard rushing touchdown. However, the Rams missed the extra point, allowing Stony Brook to keep a 14-13 lead with 5:50 left in the second quarter.
• The Rams forced a fumble on the ensuing kickoff, giving themselves the ball at the Stony Brook 29-yard line. The Rams would settle for a 27-yard field goal attempt, which they missed wide right, giving the Seawolves back the football with a 14-13 lead.
• Stony Brook got the ball moving on its next drive, with Hester rushing for 12 yards followed by a connection from Boyd to Aphayvong for 17 yards that brought the ball to the Stony Brook 45-yard line at the two-minute warning. Boyd had three straight rushes that combined for 23 yards to bring the ball to the Stony Brook 27-yard line with 1:10 left and a Seawolves timeout. On third-and-eight, Linkins and Boyd connected for a 10-yard gain to bring the ball to the 20-yard line. Hester finished the drive with a 13-yard rush and a seven-yard rush into the end zone to give Stony Brook a 21-13 lead into the break.
• Fordham got the ball to start the second half. Beginning at its own 23-yard line, Fordham got a first down, but Stony Brook got back-to-back tackles by Calgaro and McGoy to force a punt and get the ball back at its own 12-yard line.
• Coney had three rushing yards on the first Stony Brook drive before the Seawolves were forced to punt after a three-and-out. Fordham got the ball at the 50-yard line with 10:10 left in the third quarter to begin its next drive.
• The Rams ran 10 plays for 30 yards on their next drive, finishing it with a 37-yard field goal to cut their deficit to 21-16 with 5:28 remaining in the frame.
• Hester started the next possession with a 15-yard run and Sweitzer caught back-to-back passes to move the ball over midfield. A few plays later, the Rams' defense stopped Stony Brook on a fourth-down rush to take the ball back at the 40-yard line with 3:05 left in the third quarter.
• On third-and-two at midfield for the Rams, Garcia came up with an instrumental pass breakup to force Fordham to punt with 1:36 left in the third. Stony Brook began its next drive at its own 20-yard line. A few plays in, Linkins broke three tackles on his way to a 50-yard reception that brought the ball to the Fordham 10-yard line. Mannino came on to finish the drive with a 30-yard field goal, giving Stony Brook a 24-16 lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
• Bueno recorded his second sack of the day to force a third-and-28 for Fordham at its own five-yard line and force the Rams to punt to their own 47-yard line following a tip on the punt by Stony Brook.
• Linkins and Boyd connected for 13 yards to push the ball to the Fordham 16-yard line before a five-yard pass to Sweitzer and an 11-yard rush by Hester gave Stony Brook a 31-16 lead, the third touchdown of the day for Hester.
• DaMario Crawford gave Stony Brook the football back with an interception at the Fordham 45-yard line with less than six minutes remaining in the game.
• After Stony Brook was stopped on fourth down, the Seawolves defense went to work at the Fordham 36-yard line to close out the victory.

• Stony Brook moves to 6-4 all-time against Fordham. The Seawolves have now won three straight against the Rams.
• Hester now has seven rushing touchdowns over the last two games, giving him 10 on the season, which leads the CAA.
• Ferrelli passed Dominick Reyes and tied Tyrice Beverette for ninth-most career tackles in program history with 262 after collecting a season-high 11 tackles.
• Linkins posted a season-high five catches and a season-best 81 yards to lead all receivers.
• Bueno leads the CAA with 7.5 sacks after posting a season-high three in the victory. He now has at least 2.0 tackles for loss in four of five games this season.
• Crawford tallied his first interception of the season and the second of his career.
• Stony Brook allowed just three points in the second half.
• The Seawolves have scored 30 or more points in four of five games this season.
