Easton, PA - Kevin Pall and Jon Tompkins scored :29 apart to open the fourth quarter as the Seawolves pulled away to defeat Lafayette on the road Wednesday afternoon in men's lacrosse, 14-8. The Seawolves improve to 2-4 on the season with their second victory in three games.

Matt Toner's goal with 1:38 left in the first quarter gave the Seawolves the lead for good at 3-2 and the Pack extended the advantage to 7-4 as the teams headed to the locker rooms for halftime.

The Leopards got to within 9-7 as the third quarter expired but could not bridge the gap any further. Pall scored just :03 into the fourth quarter and Tompkins :32 in to stake the Pack to an 11-7 advantage. Overall, the Seawolves scored five of the game's final seven goals to get the win.

Pall finished the game with four goals to lead Stony Brook while Toner added three goals and an assist. Dennis Scannell added a pair of scores and Matt Campolettano chipped in with a goal and two assists.

Steve Armsworthy got his first win in goal, making 13 saves.

Stony Brook will host Butler on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
