Stony Brook looks to get back in the win column as it hits the road for the first time since the season-opener against UMass in a non-conference matchup with Lafayette on Wednesday. Face-off is 3 p.m.
Series Notes: Stony Brook holds a 5-1 series lead. SB is 0-1 on the road so far this season.
Scouting The Leopards: * Pat Lennon leads the team in scoring with 12 goals. Drew Weisman is second with six points.
* Kevin DeVito has handled the bulk of the duties in goal.
About The Seawolves: * George LaFlare leads the team in scoring with 12 points. He is the only Seawolf to record a point in all four games this season.
* Stony Brook's starting lineup features four freshman and six underclassmen. The close defense is made up of two sophomores and a freshman.
* Rookies Adam Marksberry and Michael Poch scored their first collegiate goals against Maryland.
Mr. Face-Off: Senior Dennis Nafte will be out of the lineup for due to an injury suffered against Maryland. Nafte has won over 70 percent of his face-offs this season. Look for Michael Poch to handle the bulk of the face-off duties.
LaFlare On Fire: Junior George LaFlare leads the team in scoring with six goals and six assists for 12 points. He has scored a point in each of SB's first four games, the only Seawolf to do so. Last Wednesday, he notched six points against Binghamton. LaFlare totaled 19 points in 17 games last season.
The Rookie: Freshman Jason Cappadoro was named the America East Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week on Monday. Cappadoro notched his second hat trick of the season last Wednesday in the conference opener against Binghamton. He added a goal against No. 3 Maryland on Saturday.
A Nice Ring To It: On Saturday, March 22, each member of the 2002 America East Championship Team will receive their championship rings during halftime of the Navy game. At that time, the championship banner will also be unveiled.
