By virtue of Saturday's 6-4 triumph over Vermont, the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team has clinched a berth to the 2003 America East playoffs. With one conference game remaining, Stony Brook will battle for its seed in the four-team field.
Hartford (4-0 in America East, 8-5 overall) has earned the No. 1 seed in the America East Men's Lacrosse Championship and will play host to the No. 4 seed in a semifinal game Wednesday, April 30.
Albany (3-1, 6-5), Vermont (2-2, 5-6) and Stony Brook (2-2, 4-8) round out the championship field. The Great Danes, Catamounts and Seawolves are battling for seeding in the championship, where the No. 2 seed will also play host to a semifinal game on April 30. Albany closes out its conference season at Vermont Saturday, April 26 at 1 p.m.. Stony Brook plays at Hartford at that same time.
