Six Seawolves Earn NEC Football All-Conference Honors

Nov. 19, 2004

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook senior quarterback T.J. Moriarty was named to the Northeast Conference first team for the second straight season, while five other Seawolves earned all-league honors, the NEC announced on Friday.

Moriarty ranked first in the conference for back-to-back seasons in total offense with 263.4 ypg and passed for career-highs with 2,495 yards and 17 touchdowns. The Seawolf signal caller dashed for five touchdowns, following a six-touchdown performance in 2003. In Moriarty's career finale versus Iona, he tied a school record with five touchdown passes.

Offensive lineman David Charles receives his third all-conference selection at guard, including back-to-back first-team accolades.

On the defensive line, senior David Bamiro earns back-to-back honors after breaking the league's career sack record (29.0) and leading the NEC in quarterback takedowns for the second-straight season in 2004 with 10.5.

Joining Bamiro on the first team defensive line is senior Chimezie Okobi, who was second on the team with 59 stops, 7.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.

Senior Londre Blocker earned second team accolades at wide receiver after he concluded his banner career as the league's all-time leader in receptions (147) and second in career receiving yards (2,285). In 2004, the speedy flanker added 50 catches for 777 yards and six touchdowns.

Junior Leo Sullivan earned second team honors for the Seawolves on the offensive line.
