The Stony Brook women's cross country team placed third and the men's team finished sixth at the New Hampshire Inviational on Saturday. Leonora Joy paced the way for the women with a sixth place finish while Dale Summerville led the men, also with a sixth place finish.
Joy covered the 5K course in a time of 18:26.6 to help the women finish third our of 12 teams. Newcomer Sarah Beresford had a very strong run and took 7th place in 18.28.7. The other scorers were Dana Hastie (10th,18.35.9) Sarah Herbert(18th,18.52.4) and Lauren Gengo (60th,20.13.7).
On the men' side, Dale Summerville led the tean with a 6th place finish and the team was 6th of 11 teams. Summerville ran the 5 mile course in 25.18.1. The other scorers were Brian Farrell (15th,25.46.9) Shaun Krawitz (18th,26.01.0) Kevin McCarthy (50th,27.16.5) and Luke Gliganic (74th, 28.29.0).
