Stony Brook beat tournament host, St. Francis, three games to one in the Red Flash Invitational, earning the tournament championship. Maria Samilo and Morgan Sweany took two spots on the All-Tournament team while teammate, Abby Egan, was named Tournament MVP.

St. Francis won the first game 30-24 and then Stony Brook took over, winning the last three games 30-15, 30-18 and 30-14. Samilo registered 14 kills, three block solos and three block assists to beat St. Francis.

Sweany tallied 11 kills while teammate Melissa Votruba had 14 kills. Tournament MVP, Abby Eagan, added 15 digs in the victory.

The Seawolves improve to 7-4, while the Red Flash fall to 0-10. Stony Brook returns to action Friday, in Fairfax, Va., against Rutgers in the George Mason Tournament.
