BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) - Eric Rath rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown while
Neal Boozer-Gallman intercepted a pass and ran 98 yards for another score as
Lehigh defeated Stony Brook 25-2 Saturday.
Rath scored to open the fourth quarter on an 11-yard run to put Lehigh (1-0)
up 18-0 with 14:07 remaining. A 15-yard touchdown pass from Matt Borda to Adam
Bergen after a 57-yard drive gave the Mountain Hawks an 11-0 lead with 7:51
left in the third quarter.
Stony Brook (0-1) got on the board late in the fourth when Borda was sacked
in the end zone. But Boozer-Gallman's interception and touchdown run put Lehigh
up 25-2 with just over two minutes remaining in the game.
Matt McNelis kicked a 40-yard field goal with 3:21 remaining in the opening
quarter to give Lehigh a 3-0 halftime edge. A botched snap gave Lehigh a safety
and a 5-0 lead with 13:37 remaining in the third half.
