Stony Brook Defeated by Binghamton, 72-45

VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) - Andre Heard scored 19 points and added five rebounds and three steals to lift Binghamton to a 72-45 win over Stony Brook on Wednesday night.

Binghamton (5-11, 2-5 America East) jumped to a quick 13-2 lead as the Seawolves missed seven of their first eight shots.

Stony Brook (7-9, 2-5) made just 4-of-22 shots in the first half and the Bearcats took advantage to stake a 36-16 halftime lead.

Nick Billings contributed 14 points, eight rebounds and four blocks for Binghamton, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Stony Brook hit 10 of 24 from the field in the second half, but were still held to just 30.4 percent shooting for the game. Binghamton shot 42.7 percent from the floor.

Jairus McCollum led Stony Brook with 17 points and six rebounds.
