Volleyball Swept by #18 Santa Clara

Providence, R.I. - The Stony Brook volleyball team fell to 18th ranked Santa Clara 3-0 (30-10, 30-24, 30-27) in the Brown Invitational. The Seawolves drop to 6-7 with the loss and Santa Clara improves to 9-1 on the year.

Melissa Votruba paced the Seawolves attack with a match-high 12 kills. Gulce Nazli Dikecligil got the start at setter for Stony Brook, and contributed 23 assists.

Santa Clara, as a team, hit .282 with 49 total kills. Anna Cmaylo led the way for Santa Clara, hitting .400 with 11 kills.

The Seawolves will wrap up the Brown Invitational tonight when they take on host Brown at 6:00 p.m.
