THE SERIES WITH WAGNER

Wagner leads the all-time series, 9-3. The Seawolves have a 3-4 record against the Seahawks at LaValle Stadium and are 0-5 in Staten Island, N.Y. Last season, Josh Dudash threw for four touchdowns to lift Stony Brook to a 28-10 victory over Wagner on Saturday afternoon at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. Dudash went 15-for-25 for 187 yards in the air to go with four touchdowns. Joe Tarasiewicz pulled in eight passes for a team-high 110 yards and a pair of TD's, while Rod Williams ran for a game-high 77 yards on 16 carries. Daniel Michitsch led the defense with 11 tackles and a sack, while Adam Barzar, Mike Mounter and Francis Rivera each tallied an interception for SB.

LAST TIME OUT

The Stony Brook football team had its four-game winning streak snapped by Robert Morris, 21-6, on a rain soaked afternoon at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium on Saturday. The Seawolves were plagued with bad field position and committed four turnovers as they fall to 4-5 overall and 4-1 in Northeast Conference play. Robert Morris improves to 6-3 overall and moves into a tie for first place with Stony Brook at 4-1 in the NEC. The Colonials struck first in the opening quarter when they were able to take advantage of good field position after forcing the Seawolves to punt into the gusting winds at LaValle Stadium. Brian Harden took a handoff from Erik Cwalinski and cut back for a 20-yard touchdown to cap off a short three-play, 38-yard drive and hand the visitors an early 7-0 lead. On the next drive the Seawolves found themselves at fourth-and-two at their own 31-yard line. Following a Robert Morris timeout, Stony Brook faked a punt and snapped the ball directly to Richie Richards who scampered down the far sideline for a 21-yard gain to give the Seawolves a first down at the Robert Morris 48-yard line. With the wind at their backs, the Seawolves scored in the second play of the second quarter when Lynell Suggs hauled in a Josh Dudash pass and eluded three defenders for a 48-yard touchdown. After a missed extra-point the Seawolves were down 7-6. Robert Morris extended its lead to 14-6 as Vince Magnone plunged one-yard for the touchdown with 4:14 left for the final score of the first half. The Colonials scored the final points of the game with six seconds left in the third period when Rion Listhrop rushed in for a two-yard score to seal the game at 21-6. Dudash ended the game 18-for-36 with one touchdown and two interceptions. Suggs hauled in four passes for 110 yards and a score and Dwayne Eley caught six passes for 35 yards. Conte Cuttino paced the Seawolves on the ground with 69 yards on 16 carries. Chris Tomasky led the Stony Brook defense with 13 tackles. Milo Otis contributed nine tackles, one interception and a pass breakup and Shawn Broome totaled eight tackles and a fumble recovery. The Colonials utilized a four-man rushing attack for a combined 132 yards and Cwalinski was an efficient 12-for-18 for 128 yards and one interception. Chad Wengert anchored the Robert Morris defense with nine tackles and Jordan Howard added seven. The final home game of the season marked the last home contest for 17 Stony Brook seniors who were honored during a pre-game ceremony.

SUGG'S STREAK

With his 48-yard touchdown score against Robert Morris, Lynell Suggs extended his touchdown scoring streak to four games. In the last four contests, Suggs has caught a touchdown. Against Sacred Heart, Dudash met up with Suggs for a 10-yard strike while against St. Francis, Suggs went deep for a 40-yard score. In the Albany game, Suggs once again proved to be a deep threat as he was scored easily from 41-yards out.

COSTLY TURNOVERS

Unlike the past few games, the Seawolves committed costly turnovers in the loss to Robert Morris. Josh Dudash, who heading into the Sacred Heart game had not thrown an interception all season, threw two picks against the Colonials. Stony Brook also fumbled twice to hurt their own cause.

MILO AND OTIS

Milo Otis has been on a tear of late at the linebacker slot. He leads the team with four interceptions and made a big play as he intercepted a Robert Morris pass in the end zone last Saturday. The junior transfer from Los Angeles Southwest Junior College has made 45 tackles in his first season as a Seawolf.

ABOUT THE SEAHAWKS
