Josh Dudash was named Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, the conference announced. Dudash threw for 393 yards and a TD to lead Stony Brook to a 45-9 win over Wagner on Saturday. The win improved the Seawolves to 5-1 in conference play and positions SB to win its second straight conference title should it defeat Central Connecticut on Saturday.
Dudash completed 27-of-34 passes for 393 yards and a touchdown to lead Stony Brook to a 45-9 win over Wagner on Saturday. The 393 yards was the fourth best single-game performance in program history and the second best since Stony Brook joined the Northeast Conference in 1999.
Dudash's passing total is also the league's top performance this season. The junior's 12-yard touchdown pass to Lynell Suggs in the second quarter was part on an aerial assault that saw Dudash record 283 passing yards in the first half. On the season, the Beachwood, NJ product ranks third in the league in passing (186.2 ypg), second in total offense (187.7 ypg), second in passing efficiency (139.0) and has thrown 10 touchdowns and only three interceptions.
Stony Brook travels to Central Connecticut on Saturday for a noon kick-off.
