Final Stats
The Stony Brook University women's lacrosse team jumped out to an early 9-0 lead an never looked back as the Seawolves toppled Siena, 19-3, Saturday afternoon at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.
With the win, Stony Brook improves to 3-1 on the season, winning its third straight contest. Siena falls to 0-2 on the season.
The Seawolves were up 12-1 heading into the locker room, thanks to four goals by Amy Taylor and two from Danielle Werner. Stony Brook continued their torrid offensive pace, as they outscored the visitors, 7-2, in the second stanza.
Taylor led the way for the Seawolves with five goals and an assist. Carlee Buck dished out three assists on the afternoon and added a goal while Werner found the back of the net four times.
The Seawolves return to action when they host Sacred Heart on March 14 at 3:00 p.m.
