The Stony Brook University football team (0-2) will take on the No. 1 New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday in Durham, New Hampshire. The game marks the first time that the Seawolves will face a nationally-ranked team and represents only the second Stony Brook team to ever face a team ranked No. 1 in the nation. The game will be broadcast live on WUSB 90.1 FM and streamed live on www.goseawolves.org.

RADIO: The game will be broadcast live on WUSB 90.1 FM. Ray Alexander (play-by-play) and Jeff Bernstein will call the action.

THE SERIES WITH WILDCATS
• Today's game will mark the first time in school history that these two teams have faced each other on the gridiron.

LAST TME OUT
• Ben Hostetler threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Sidney Baker with 1:38 left in the second quarter for the only score in Georgetown's 7-0 win over Stony Brook. The was enough to give the Hoyas (1-1) their first win under coach Kevin Kelly, despite Georgetown being outgained by the Seawolves (0-2) 340 yards to 230. Stony Brook quarterback Josh Dudash went 7-for-10 for 65 yards, but was replaced by backups Andrew Garrett and Dan Sweeney in the third quarter. Garrett completed 12 of 21 passes for 125 yards for the Seawolves, who drove down to the Georgetown 26 with 2:57 left in the fourth quarter but turned the ball over on downs.

ABOUT THE WILDCATS
• New Hampshire enters the game with an 1-0 record after having one of biggest upsets in all of college football so far, upsetting Division I-A Northwestern, 34-17, at Northwestern. Walter Payton Award candidates junior quarterback Ricky Santos and senior wide receiver David Ball were the difference as Santos finished the day with five touchdowns, two passing and three rushing. He also threw for 206 yards on 18 of 24 passing. Ball caught seven receptions for 72 total receiving yards and two touchdowns. Ball (47 TD's) needs only three TD's to tie Jerry Rice's all-time I-AA touchdown record (50).

ON THE ROAD AGAIN...
After opening up the season hosting Hofstra at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium, the Seawolves are in the midst of a four-game road swing. The trip includes game against Georgetown, UNH, UMass, and Monmouth before Stony Brook plays host to Albany during Homecoming on Oct. 7.

IN THE RANKS
Saturday's contest against the Wildcats will be the first time the Seawolves have squared off against a nationally-ranked team. UNH is currently ranked No. 1 in the Sports Network I-AA Top 25 poll. Next week's opponent, UMass, currently stands at No. 9 in the country. This is the second time in school history that a Stony Brook team has played a team ranked No. 1 in the country. The only other time it occurred was when the men's lacrosse team faced off against North Carolina on April 21, 1991.

BLANKED
Against the Hoyas, the Seawolves were held scorless for the first time since the second game of 2005 when Hofstra shutout Stony Brook, 55-0, in Hempstead, N.Y.

MAKING THE CUT
Freshman tailback Conte Cuttino led the Seawolves rushing attack with 14 carries for 45 yards at Georgetown. His longest rush of the afternoon was 12 yards.

RICHIE RICH
Richie Richards was all over the field against the Hoyas accumulating 10 tackles including a tackle for loss. He is currently tied for the most tackles on the team with 15.

THE GREAT EIGHT
There were eight different receivers that hauled in passes against Georgetown. Dwayne Eley led the receiving corps with seven catches for 81 yards. The group hauled in 19 catches for a total of 190 yards.

TAKE IT AWAY MILO
Milo Otis recorded the first Stony Brook interception against Georgetown, picking off a pass and returning it seven yards.

MERKLE ON THE PROWL Chris Merkle made eight stops against Georgetown and has been a menace on the defensive line all season. He's tied with Richie Richards with 15 tackles this season.
