Men's Lacrosse Falls to Hartford, 6-4

West Hartford, Conn. - Brendan Callahan made ten saves in goal however the #19 Stony Brook men's lacrosse team was edged by Hartford, 6-4 on Saturday evening. Stony Brook is 6-3, 1-2 in America East play. Hartford is 2-10, 1-3.

"Tonight was a tough game for us," said head coach Rick Sowell. "We need to get better production on the offensive side of the ball."

After Hartford scored the first goal of the game, Drew Werney scored Stony Brook's first goal off an assist from Bo Tripodi. After a scoreless second quarter, Owen Adams put the Seawolves up 2-1.

Hartford would scored four unanswered goals including three from Tom Harris.

Ryan Hughes and Bobby Trenkle scored four quarter goals for the Seawolves with Trenkle's coming a man down.

Stony Brook is back in action with a matchup against state-rival Binghamton on Saturday, April 21. First face-off is scheduled for 7 pm.
