Stony Brook, N.Y. - Sophomore guard Bryan Dougher (Scotch Plains, N.J.) of the Stony Brook University men's basketball team was named the SimplexGrinnell Stony Brook Athlete of the Week on Monday after scoring a career-high 25 points in SBU's 60-46 win over the NJIT Highlanders on Saturday afternoon at Pritchard Gymnasium.

Dougher shot 7-for-13 from the field in a season-high 38 minutes against the Highlanders and tied a career-high with five three-pointers. He also tied his career-best with eight rebounds.

Dougher's previous career-high in points came last season when he scored 24 in a 60-39 Stony Brook win at NJIT.
