Stony Brook, N.Y. -
Postseason awards continued to come in this week for Stony Brook football with the announcement that junior center Paul Fenaroli (Monroe, Conn.) earned honorable mention honors for the Fabulous Fifty All-America Team announced by the College Sporting News. He is the eighth player from the Seawolves’ 2009 Big South Championship squad that has earned postseason recognition.
A key player along the Stony Brook offensive front, Fenaroli has started 25 consecutive games at center, the second longest starting streak on the team. He anchors a line that has blocked for two of the league’s top backs in each of the past two seasons, helping clear the way for a rushing attack that ranked 29th in the nation in 2009 and allowed just 1.36 sacks per game to rank 25th in the nation.
