Stony Brook, N.Y. - Saturday's season opening football game between Stony Brook and Hofstra will be televised live. The game will be carried on Verizon FiOS1, a channel that is available to Verizon FiOS customers on Long Island. For those customers the game will be on channel 1 on their systems. The telecast will begin at 7:00 p.m., with kickoff scheduled for 7:07 p.m. Ralph Bednarczyk will call the action with Wayne Morris providing color commentary and Shannon Bennett reporting from the sidelines.
