Charlotte, N.C. - Linebacker Jawara Dudley (Roosevelt, N.Y.) has been named the Big South Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Dudley recorded a career-high 12 tackles at Lafayette on Saturday. Dudley had 15 tackles in four games entering Saturday's contest.

Dudley also had two tackles for a loss and a pass break-up. He forced Lafayette into a long field goal with a hurry on quarterback Ryan O'Neil and broke up a pass to Kyle Hayes that brought on the Leopards' punt team.

Stony Brook travels to face Coastal Carolina on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised live on MASN.
