Stony Brook, N.Y. - Sophomore Miguel Maysonet (Riverhead, N.Y.) has been named the SimplexGrinnell Stony Brook Athlete of the Week, after a 193-yard, three-touchdown performance at Coastal Carolina on Saturday night. He also was named FCS Running Back of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards and Big South Offensive Player of the Week.

Maysonet recorded the 11th best single-game rushing total in Stony Brook history. He had touchdown runs of 4, 5, and 31 yards, and his 78-yard run on the first play of the second drive set up another touchdown. Maysonet's 719 yards and 102.7 average per game lead the Big South.
