A school and Big South-record four interceptions has earned freshman Davonte Anderson (Corona, Calif.) SimplexGrinnell Stony Brook Athlete of the Week honors.
Anderson earned a slew of awards on Monday as he was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week by the Sports Network, while the College Football Performance Awards honored him as National Defensive and Defensive Back Performer of the Week.
Anderson also took home Big South Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Anderson picked off two passes in each half, which led to a total of 14 points. After falling behind 3-0 to Gardner-Webb, the Seawolves reeled off 55 unanswered points.
