Jay Young, the associate head coach for Stony Brook men's basketball, is writing a monthly blog at College Chalktalk, a website dedicated to inside the lines coverage of men's college basketball with an emphasis on the Atlantic 10 Conference. Young's blog is part of the National Coaches' Diary Series.

The National Coaches' Diary Series was launched prior to the start of the 2009-10 season. The first and only of its kind, the NCDS runs each November through March, with nearly 70 coaches - and counting - from over 24 different conferences contributing to College Chalktalk, providing monthly insight into their respective teams or tackling hot-button issues in today's game. 

Young, who is in his fifth season on head coach Steve Pikiell's staff and second season as associate head coach, will write one entry per month throughout the 2010-11 season.
