New Orleans, La. - Stony Brook's cross country teams were honored on Monday with the announcement that each was named a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team.

The women's team, one of 57 honored, earned a 3.28 GPA. The men's team, one of 135, earned a 3.24 GPA. For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Championship and also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative GPA.
