McBride Named America East Player Of The Week

April 19, 2010

Cambridge, Mass. - For the fourth time this season, junior Jordan McBride (New Westminster, British Columbia) of the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team has been named America East Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. McBride had seven goals in the Seawolves' 17-16 win over Binghamton on Saturday.

McBride's third goal of the game against the Bearcats gave him 40 for the season, making him the first player in school history with at least 40 goals in three straight seasons. He is four shy of the school record for career goals and is third in SBU history with 155 points. McBride leads the country in goals per game (4.0) and shooting percentage (.587).

Stony Brook, which clinched its ninth straight America East Championship berth with the victory, faces America East rival Albany on Saturday at 7 pm.
