Coach Priore's thoughts on the spring season
Stony Brook, N.Y. -
Stony Brook University's football team held its first scrimmage of the spring on April 17. With an emphasis on the running game, the Seawolves' rushing attack gained 232 yards on 39 attempts. In terms of the passing game, SBU's quarterbacks passed 23 times for 111 yards.
"I'm pleased with our work ethic," head coach Chuck Priore said. "I'm proud of the progress of our younger kids and the leadership of our upperclassmen."
Stony Brook's defensive statistics included four tackles for loss, three sacks and an interception. The team will practice seven more times this spring, culminating with the Spring Game on May 2 at 1:30. All practices are held at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium and are open to the public.
