Stony Brook, N.Y. -

Preview
Closing out non-conference play, the #12 Stony Brook men's lacrosse team hosts Bryant on Saturday afternoon. Matt Mankiewich and Frank Barile will broadcast all the action on WUSB 90.1, starting with the pre-game show at 12:45 p.m.

Last Time Out
Senior Kevin Crowley set a Stony Brook (3-3) record for career points with 202 in a 17-9 loss to #10 Cornell in non-conference lacrosse action at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium on Tuesday evening. Crowley entered the game with 198, and recorded two goals and two assists, breaking the previous mark of 201, set by Jason Cappadoro in 2006. Crowley, Division I's active leading scorer, also would become the only player in school history with at least 100 goals and 100 assists with 14 more assists. Cornell (5-2) was led by David Lau, who totaled five goals. Rob Pannell and Steve Mock each added four goals, with Pannell chipping in with four assists.

Series
Stony Brook won the first all-time meeting, 8-7, last year in Rhode Island. Jordan McBride (New Westminster, British Columbia) scored three goals as the Seawolves held off a late rally from Bryant. Last year's win over the Bulldogs ignited a nine-game winning streak for Stony Brook.

Scouting The Bulldogs
Senior Gary Crowley leads Bryant with 13 goals, including four goals each against Drexel and St. Joseph's. Senior Evan Roberts, a teammate of Stony Brook freshman Jak Wawrzyniak's on Team England this past summer, has seven goals. Sophomore Mason Poli paces the defense with 28 ground balls. Junior Jameson Love owns a 6.38 goals against average and a .574 save percentage.
