For the fifth time this season and the second time in as many weeks, senior Miguel Maysonet of the Stony Brook football team has been named Big South Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Maysonet shares the award with Liberty's Aldreakis Allen, who rushed for 183 yards and four touchdowns.
Maysonet rushed for 233 yards, recording a new career-high for the third time in the last four weeks. The Walter Payton Award candidate accounted for 199 yards in the second half, including runs of 58 and 64 yards, respectively, to open drives.
The senior from Riverhead, N.Y. is the FCS' active leader in yards per game (125.2) and yards per carry (6.83).
Maysonet and the No. 10 Seawolves host Gardner-Webb on Saturday, October 20 at 4:00 p.m.
