Kickoff: Ranked No. 11 in the country, the Stony Brook football team will travel to face Coastal Carolina University on Saturday, October 13 at 3:30 p.m.  Mark Bryant and Nate Ross will have the call on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.  Mike Solano and Curt Hylton will broadcast all of the action on WUSB 90.1 FM and GoSeawolves.org.  

Opponent: Coastal Carolina's three losses have come at the hands of No. 16 Appalachian State, No. 20 Eastern Kentucky and FBS Toledo.  Senior Jeremy Height has 274 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.  Senior quarterback Aramis Hillary, who is 108 of 169 for 1,272 yards and nine touchdowns, has rushed for two touchdowns.  Hillary's main targets have been juniors Matt Hazel (24-324-3), DeMario Bennett (22-251-3) and Niccolo Mastromatteo (20-214-1).  Sophomore Quinn Backus leads the defense with 54 tackles, two pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.

Series: Stony Brook leads the all-time series, 4-0.  Despite winning the first two by a slim margin, the last two contests have been decisive victories.  In 2010, Miguel Maysonet put his signature on the Big South with a 193-yard, 3-TD performance as the Seawolves scored the game’s first 31 points.  Last season, Miguel Maysonet (191 yards, 3 TDs) and Brock Jackolski combined to rush for 384 yards and four scores as Stony Brook shut out Coastal, 42-0.  Stony Brook rushed 64 times for 446 yards and five touchdowns.  Coastal Carolina was held to only 73 yards of total offense, crossing midfield twice in 14 possessions.

Last Time Out: Senior Kyle Essington (Chino Hills, Calif) tied a school-record with five touchdown passes as the Stony Brook football team (5-1, 1-0) won its seven straight Big South game with a 49-7 victory over Charleston Southern (1-4, 0-1) at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium Saturday.
