Stony Brook, N.Y. - Senior Miguel Maysonet (Riverhead, N.Y.) of the Stony Brook football team garnered numerous weekly honors after totaling 196 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-17 season-opening win over Central Connecticut on Saturday.

The Big South Conference named Maysonet as its Offensive Player of the Week as he rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns and caught a 25-yard score. It was the sixth career game he's recorded at least three TDs.

The College Football Performance Awards named Maysonet as its All-Purpose Performer of the Week and College Sports Madness chose the preseason All-American as the publication's conference Offensive Player of the Week.
