PRIORE'S WEEKLY TELECONFERENCE

Stony Brook, N.Y. -

In this week's Big South football teleconference, Stony Brook head coach Chuck Priore recaps the 49-17 win over Central Connecticut, and looks ahead to the Seawolves' second straight home game against Pace on Saturday.

Central Connecticut recap ...

  • "I was real excited about how the team came to play.  I think it's a tremendous advantage to start your season at home."
  • "In evaluating the film, I thought we played a close to perfect first quarter.  We capitalized on the big plays."
  • "We closed out the first half with a solid two-minute drive."
  • "We're going to look at how we can fix some special teams issues.  Suring up our punting situation and limiting penalties will be a goal this week.

Looking ahead to Pace ...

  • "It's another opportunity to play in front of our fans."
  • "This game presents an excellent opportunity as a program."
  • "We're going to make sure our players start to focus more on game plans."

Prior to beginning his teleconference, Priore offered his condolonces to Liberty coach Turner Gill on the death of his mother.

Saturday's game is scheduled for 6 p.m.  To purchase tickets, visit GoSeawolves.org or call (631) 632-7125.
