Tipoff: 
The Stony Brook men's basketball team will play its second game in three days when the Seawolves host American University Tuesday night at Island Federal Credit Union Arena.  It's the second straight game against a Patriot League opponent as Stony Brook beat Loyola Maryland, 67-52, Sunday afternoon.

Last Time Out:
Junior Jameel Warney (Plainfield, N.J.) posted 18 points, 11 rebounds and eight blocks to help lead the Stony Brook men's basketball team to a 67-52 win over Loyola Maryland at Island Federal Credit Union Arena.

The Seawolves (6-6), who snapped their four-game losing streak, also received big games from juniors Carson Puriefoy (Wenonah, N.J.) and Rayshaun McGrew (Chicago, Ill.), who added 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Warney accounted for his nation-leading tenth double-double of the season. McGrew finished with his third double-double in 2014-15 with a 10-rebound effort.

Loyola Maryland (3-7) was led by Cam Gregory with 14 points and Tyler Hubbard (10 points).

Opponent: American already is playing its tenth road of the season, going 5-4 in that stretch.  The Eagles are coming off a 46-45 victory over Mount St. Mary's on Saturday.  Pee Wee Gardner hit a layup with five tenths of a second left.  Gardner is one of three players averaging double figures, scoring 10.3 points per game.  Jesse Reed and John Schoof are averaging 13.2 points apiece.

Series:
American leads the all-time series, 2-0.  The last meeting between the two squads came in 2008 as the Eagles held on for a 56-53 victory.
