2013-14 Stony Brook Men's Basketball

Albany, N.Y. - Two wins away from an NCAA Tournament bid, the Stony Brook men's basketball team looks to go one step closer on Sunday when it faces Hartford in the America East Championship semifinals at SEFCU Arena at approximately 7:15 p.m. The game will follow the first semifinal between Vermont and Albany.

For fans wishing to come to Albany, tickets are on sale through the Albany website. There will also be an alumni pregame reception at Maggie's Sports Bar (1186 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203) 90 minutes prior to tip-off.

Sunday's game will be nationally broadcast on ESPN3.

• Stony Brook is two wins away from an NCAA Tournament bid and the quest continues Sunday against Hartford.

• Hartford loves the three-pointer; the Hawks average 8.0 three-pointers made per game and average 21.1 attempts. On the season, the team gets 36.4% of its points via the three ball.
• In the last meeting with Stony Brook, the Hawks had only one field goal INSIDE the three-point line in the second half. In total, 36 of Hartford's 52 points that day came from 12 three-pointers.
• First-team All-America East forward Mark Nwakamma is averaging 15.2 points this season. He had 19 points and six blocks yesterday vs. Binghamton.
