The Stony Brook men's lacrosse team fell to 5-8, 1-2 in America East play after a 17-7 loss to Albany Saturday night at John Fallon Field. Sophomore Challen Rogers (Coquitlam, British Columbia) led the Seawolves with two goals and four assists, which tied a career-high.
Sophomore Matt Schultz (Smithtown, N.Y.) added two goals for Stony Brook, which lost at Albany for the first time April 26, 2008.
Freshman Hayden Johnstone (Toronto, Ontario) finished with 12 saves.
Miles and Ty Thompson combined to score nine goals to lead Albany (6-5, 3-0)

"I thought their pressure on the ride was the difference in the game. It helped them force turnovers. We've got to do a better job on executing the simple stuff."
Turning Point
Schultz and Rogers scored 47 seconds apart in the first quarter, but Stony Brook did not score for the next 23:34 of game action. Albany scored eight consecutive goals over a 13-minute span to take its biggest lead of the game, 8-2, up to that point.
