STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Stony Brook head football coach Chuck Priore has announced the addition of Chris Bache to the staff as the offensive line coach.
Bache (pronounced bay-jay) joins the Stony Brook staff after spending the past two seasons as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Ferrum College in Virginia. Prior to his time at Ferrum, Bache was the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Kent State for three seasons. During his time with at Kent State, the Golden Flashes earned a bid to the GoDaddy.com Bowl following a MAC title in 2013.
Prior to his arrival at Kent State, Bache spent a year at Adrian College in Michigan, and five seasons at Youngstown State in Ohio. His previous coaching stops include six seasons at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, four seasons at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, five seasons at the College of Wooster in Ohio and one season at Temple University. He helped lead IUP to four conference titles and three NCAA Division II playoff berths, including a national semi-finalist appearance in the 1999 NCAA Div. II playoffs.
Bache also helped lead Youngstown State to the FCS national semi-finals in 2006. The Penguins won the Missouri Valley Conference title that season and in 2005.
Bache earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1987, before earning his Master's degree in Education from Temple in 1991.
