Quotes . . .
Jim Nagle
"I thought it was good for our guys to get our first league win. Credit to UMBC for the way they played. They had a tough game last week, so we knew they would make the necessary adjustments and play with the necessary resolve. They have an experienced group, especially on defense, that gave us problems. We didn't play pretty, but in the end, we got the win."
Mike Rooney
"I felt like we weren't really playing our game for the first two-and-a-half quarters. I thought we carried some momentum from the third into the fourth quarter with some late saves and goals."
Brandon Maciejewski
"I was excited to be out there. I knew I had to play to the best of my ability in a conference game we needed to have."
Brody Eastwood
"After the Albany loss, we just wanted to have a great week of practice going into today's game. We'll have the same approach when we play Vermont next week. Not sure you can look past anyone in this league."
Key Moment
UMBC scored two goals eight seconds apart in the third quarter to tie the game at five. Connor Finch had a shot attempt on the door step, but was stoned by Maciejewski.
