Boston, Mass. - Senior pitcher Allison Cukrov (Irvine, Calif.) from the Stony Brook softball team was named an America East Scholar-Athlete for the second time in her career on Thursday. 

Cukrov was a first team all-league selection, finishing the season 14-5 with a 2.93 era. The two-time America East Pitcher of the Year finishes her career as the school's all-time leader in wins, saves and complete games. 

Her success in the classroom mirrored her success on the field. She was a Senior Class Award finalist and Suny Chancellor's Award winner in 2015, graduating with a 3.89 cumulative gpa as a sustainability studies major. She was also named a Spring Scholar-Athlete in 2014.
