STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook head football coach Chuck Priore welcomed 93 student-athletes to campus on Tuesday in preparation for the 2015 preseason camp that gets underway with the first practice of 2015 on Wednesday.
The Seawolves, including 22 newcomers, moved onto campus on Tuesday, met with various Stony Brook administrators, received equipment and had team and individual meetings with the coaching staff.
Stony Brook will hit the field at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium for the first of 19 preseason practices at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Practice will be held once a day until next Monday when the team will hold a two-a-day that includes an afternoon scrimmage. Scrimmages are also scheduled for Saturday, August 15 and Friday, August 21.
The opening game of the season is September 3 when the Seawolves visit Toledo at 7 p.m. The home opener is the following weekend, September 12, when Stony Brook hosts Central Connecticut at 6 p.m. at LaValle Stadium.
