Stony Brook, N.Y. - Led by 18 points from freshman Davion Wingate (Atlanta, Ga.), the Stony Brook women's basketball team (12-5, 4-0 AE) downed New Hampshire (6-10, 0-3 AE) 63-54 to start 4-0 in conference play for the first time in its Division I history.
Turning Point
Stony Brook rattled off a 10-0 run over a 3:16 span in the third quarter to stretch a 29-28 lead to 39-28. Senior Kim Hanlon (White Plains, N.Y.) started the run with a corner three and freshman Ogechi Anyagaligbo (Miami, Fla.) followed with five straight points. Stony Brook would not trail the rest of the way.
