Tip-Off: After a one-day postponement due to the snow storm, the Stony Brook men's basketball will host Maine Monday night at 7 p.m. Josh Caray and Curt Hylton will have the call on WHLI 1370 AM.
Opponent: Maine enters Monday's contest with a 6-12, 2-3 record. The Black Bears boast one of the conference's best offenses, averaging 77.1 points per game. Freshman Issac Vann leads the team with 16.2 points per game. Sophomore Kevin Little (14.9) and freshman Devine Eke (10.6) also pace Maine. The Black Bears have conference victories over Albany and UMass Lowell.
Series: At the Division I level, Stony Brook leads the all-time series, 18-14, winning 10 straight games since a 64-54 loss on January 8, 2009.
Last Time Out: Senior Carson Puriefoy (Wenonah, N.J.) led all players with 20 points as the Stony Brook men's basketball team won its 11th straight game with a 69-63 win over Albany before a standing-room only crowd of 4,109 Friday at Island Federal Credit Union Arena.
Senior Rayshaun McGrew (Chicago, Ill.) and junior Ahmad Walker (Port Washington, N.Y.) posted double-doubles with 11 points and 13 rebounds and 10 points and 10 rebounds, respectively.
Senior Jameel Warney (Plainfield, N.J.) scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half.
Stony Brook (15-4, 6-0 America East) outrebounded Albany (15-6, 4-2), 44-31.
Evan Singletary and Ray Sanders had 14 points apiece for the Great Danes.
