New Britain, Conn. – The Stony Brook men's cross country team is back in action for their final meet before the America East Finals this Friday as they travel to New Britain, Conn. for the CCU Mini -Meet. The men will be racing in the 5000M beginning at 4:00 p.m.

"The Central Connecticut Mini meet serves 2 purposes tomorrow; it will give a couple of guys a last chance to make the bus to the conference Championships next week and it also serves as a good fitness check for our mid distance group as they prepare for the indoor season that is approaching quickly. The race distance is 5000m, so it is perfect for both purposes," said Head Coach Andy Ronan.
 
"For the guys trying to make the bus for next week, they can race hard and know they have time to recover fully for the 8000m? distance at the AE Championships. The mid distance group are comfortable with the distance as they ran it in High school," continued Ronan.
 
"The focus will be on the performances of Christ Biondi, Matt Lee, and Ben McDermott. All three are in good shape, now they need to show they can race well in a competitive field," said Ronan.
