Bayne-Walker from Downtown
Senior guard Kori Bayne-Walker (Rochester, N.Y.) has found consistency in her outside shot to start the season. She entered 2016-17 as a 22.4% three-point shooter for her career, but has knocked down five of eight threes (62.5%) this season, the second best mark in the America East. Bayne-Walker hit a career-high three three-pointers vs. Syracuse on Friday night and leads the Seawolves in scoring at 14.3 ppg.
Success Against the IVY League
Stony Brook went 3-1 against the IVY League last season and is 5-1 in its last six contests dating back to the 2012-13 season. Columbia has been its most common opponent during that span. The Seawolves have taken all three match ups.
