Stony Brook, N.Y. - Junior Dorrien Van Dyke (Northport, N.Y.) had a seven-point performance that included her 100th career goal as the No. 10/8 Stony Brook women's lacrosse team defeated Yale, 13-7, Tuesday night at LaValle Stadium. In the win, the Seawolves improve to 2-1, while Yale falls to 2-4.

- Stony Brook outscored Yale 8-2 in the second half after the game was deadlocked at 5-5 headed into the locker room.
- Van Dyke had five goals and two assists on a night in which she became the ninth 100-goal scorer in program history and the fifth since head coach Joe Spallina’s arrival in 2012.
- Junior Courtney Murphy (Shirley, N.Y.) had a five-goal night of her own to move within 17 goals of Demmianne Cook’s all-time program record of 158.
- Senior Taylor Ranftle (Hauppauge, N.Y.) had the other three goals for the Seawolves to match a career-best performance.
- Sophomore Kylie Ohlmiller (West Islip, N.Y.) had three of the Seawolves’ eight assists in the contest.
- Junior Kaitlyn Leahy was in the cage for the second half and stopped three of the Bulldogs’ five shots on goal.

- The Seawolves are now 38-5 at home since Coach Spallina took over in 2012.

- Ohlmiller passed Janine Hillier (2012-13) to move into sole possession of eighth-place all-time in assists with 50.
