Durham, N.H. – The Stony Brook women's basketball team had a stellar defensive performance in the first half, but a wild second-half New Hampshire comeback gave the Wildcats a 49-46 victory over the Seawolves Wednesday at Lundholm Gymnasium. In the defeat, the Seawolves fall to 7-7 and 0-1 in the America East, while the Wildcats improve to 11-3 and 1-0 in conference play.
Turning Point
The Seawolves led 33-15 with 6:35 to go in the third quarter before the Wildcats embarked on a furious comeback effort, starting with a 15-3 run over the next 3:29 to cut the deficit to six.
