Albany, N.Y. – The Stony Brook women's basketball team was downed by Albany, 64-54, Saturday afternoon at SEFCU Arena. In the defeat, the Seawolves fall to 7-8 and 0-2 in the America East, while the Great Danes improve to 8-7 and 2-0 in conference play.

The Seawolves had cut the deficit to one on a three-pointer by junior
Aaliyah Worley (Philadelphia, Pa.) with 9:37 remaining at 44-43. The Great Danes answered with an 8-0 run over the following 2:50 to build a nine-point cushion. Stony Brook would bring it to within four on a pair of free throws by senior
Kori Bayne-Walker (Rochester, N.Y.) with 3:09 remaining before Albany closed the game on an 8-2 run.

Christa Scognamiglio (Orangeburg, N.Y.) led the Seawolves with 13 points each. Worley's 13 points tied a season-high.
