Scouting the Red Foxes
Marist is playing its second game of the season, as the Red Foxes have been off since a 13-12 loss at Army West Point Feb. 11. The Red Foxes, who went 9-8 and 6-2 in the MAAC a year ago, were picked third in the conference's preseason poll.

Freshman Samantha Mehalick led Marist with four goals in her collegiate debut, while Brookhaven native Hailey Wagner added three goals and three assists in the season opener.

Series History vs. Marist
Stony Brook is 3-2 all-time against Marist, but has tallied a pair of convincing victories in the Spallina era. The most recent meeting came on March 14, 2013 in Poughkeepsie, in which Janine Hillier scored a team-high four goals in a 14-2 Seawolves victory.

Last Time Out: Stony Brook 20, Bryant 5
Junior Kylie Ohlmiller had seven goals and five assists, while senior Courtney Murphy added six goals, as Stony Brook defeated Bryant Saturday at LaValle Stadium. The Seawolves' 18 assists were a program record and one shy of the NCAA single-game mark.

This Day in Seawolves History: February 21
Stony Brook is 1-0 all-time on Feb. 21, with the previous game coming in 2015's season opener, a 7-4 win over USC. Courtney Murph and Dorrien Van Dyke each had two goals in the victory.

Ohlmiller, Tesoriero Earn Weekly America East Honors
Junior Kylie Ohlmiller was tabbed as America East Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while sophomore Anna Tesoriero was selected as conference Defensive Player of the Week Monday.

Ohlmiller's Late Goal Sinks Towson
Junior Kylie Ohlmiller scored with four seconds remaining to lift the Seawolves to a 10-9 win at No. 19 Towson Feb. 4. The victory was the 12th over a ranked opponent in program history and 11th since the start of 2014.

Kennedy's Debut a Memorable One
Freshman Ally Kennedy made an impact in her first game in a Stony Brook uniform. Kennedy scored two goals in the Feb. 4 win at Towson, with the first coming on a play in which she caused a turnover by the goalie, picked up the ground ball and scored on an open net.

Starting off on the Right Foot
The Seawolves are 6-0 in season openers under Coach Spallina after the Feb. 4 win at Towson. Stony Brook is 14-2 in the month of February since Coach Spallina took over in 2012.

Core Returns for Seawolves
According to US Lacrosse Magazine, Stony Brook and Towson are the only preseason top-20 teams that return over 90% of their scoring from a year ago.

Tewaaraton Times Two
Courtney Murphy and Kylie Ohlmiller were both named Tewaaraton nominees in 2016. It marked the first time the Seawolves had two nominees in one season.

Murphy Rewriting Record Book
Courtney Murphy enters Tuesday 51 goals away from breaking Gail Cummings' NCAA career goals record. Cummings scored 289 goals for Temple from 1985-88. Murphy is the active career leader in goals with 239, a margin of 50 over Notre Dame's Courtney Fortunato.

Murphy is in sole possession of 17th place in NCAA history with 239, three back of Jill Altshuler (Lehigh '96) and Emily Boissonneault (Detroit '12)

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
