STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook women's basketball team fell to Albany, 75-57, Saturday afternoon at Island Federal Credit Union Arena. In the defeat, the Seawolves fall to 9-14 and 2-8 in the America East, while the Great Danes improve to 13-10 and 7-3 in conference play.
Turning Point
Albany opened the game on a 10-0 run and led by no less than eight for the remainder of the contest. The Great Danes held a 45-18 advantage at halftime.
By the Numbers
- Sophomore
Davion Wingate (Atlanta, Ga.) led the Seawolves with 12 points.
- Senior
Kori Bayne-Walker (Rochester, N.Y.) added 11 points and three assists while senior
Christa Scognamiglio (Orangeburg, N.Y.) added 10 points and three steals.
- Freshman Gio Perez (Camuy, P.R.) tallied nine points, five assists and four steals.
- The Seawolves outscored the Great Danes 39-30 in the second half.
