STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The No. 5/6 Stony Brook women's lacrosse team opens a three-game homestand with another marquee opponent visiting LaValle Stadium, as No. 4/4 Colorado comes to town for a Friday night showdown.

Scouting the Buffaloes
Colorado enters Friday as one of two remaining unbeatens in Division I (No. 1/1 Maryland being the other.) The Buffaloes held off Delaware, 9-7, on the road Wednesday. Colorado has defeated four ranked opponents this year: Northwestern, UMass, Denver and Penn State.

The Buffaloes have four players with 20 or more goals, led by 28 each from Darby Kiernan and Johnna Fusco. Kiernan is fourth in the nation with 76 draw controls.

Series History vs. Colorado
Friday marks the first meeting between the two programs, as Colorado is in its fourth season as a Division I program. The Seawolves are 3-1 against the MPSF over the last two seasons, splitting with USC and picking up wins over San Diego State and Stanford.

What's at Stake
A victory Friday would be the highest-ranked win in program history. Stony Brook defeated No. 5/5 Northwestern at LaValle Stadium April 12, 2015. The Seawolves have defeated four top-10 teams in the Spallina era, most recently a win over No. 9/10 USC last Friday.

Last Time Out: Stony Brook 14, New Hampshire 2
Junior Kylie Ohlmiller set an America East conference-game record with eight assists and added two goals, while junior Brooke Gubitosi had career-highs with six caused turnovers and five ground balls in a 14-2 win at New Hampshire Sunday to open America East play.

Seawolves Sweep AE Honors
Stony Brook took home all three America East weekly honors Monday, as junior Kylie Ohlmiller was named Offensive Player of the Week, junior Brooke Gubitosi earned Defensive Player of the Week honors and freshman Taryn Ohlmiller was tabbed as Rookie of the Week.

Oh-My-Miller
Junior Kylie Ohlmiller leads all active Division I players with 4.84 points/game. On March 5, Ohlmiller became the first player in program history with 100 career goals and 100 career assists.

Tewaaraton Times Three
Senior Courtney Murphy, senior Dorrien Van Dyke and junior Kylie Ohlmiller were named to the Tewaaraton watch list Feb. 28.

All I Do Is Win
The Seawolves have posted an .846 winning percentage since the beginning of the 2013 season, which ranks third nationally. Stony Brook's 14 losses over that stretch are the third fewest among programs which have fielded a team all five years.

Raising The Bar
The Seawolves have totaled 91 wins since Joe Spallina took over as head coach in 2012. Stony Brook had 63 wins in its first nine years before Spallina's arrival.

She's a Freshman... And She's a Freshman, Too
The Seawolves' freshman tandem of Taryn Ohlmiller and Ally Kennedy has combined for 29.5-percent of Stony Brook's goals through nine games.

Early Lead Stands Up in Win over USC
Stony Brook picked up its third win of the season over a ranked opponent with a 9-7 victory over No. 9/10 USC March 24 at LaValle Stadium. Sophomore Anna Tesoriero held USC to a season-low seven goals in the victory.
